Prior to joining Bruning Law Group, Mary Jacobson worked for the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Terrorism, Nonproliferation, and Trade and served as the United States-Canada Inter-Parliamentary Group Secretary. While at the House of Representatives, Jacobson worked on a variety of issues, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership negotiations, strategies to combat terrorist funding and recruitment, Russia’s violation of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, opening agricultural trade with Cuba, the Bergdahl exchange, and the illegal wildlife trade.
Jacobson’s employment follows a long history of internships and clerkships in the legal and political science fields, both in Nebraska and the nation’s capital. She is active in both the lobbying and legal sections of Bruning Law Group.
Jacobson earned her B.A. with Honors in English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her J.D. from The George Washington School of Law.
